Special thanks to Wendy Damonte and KTVN News 2 for featuring our Better Hearing & Speech Month screening on the Health Watch segment (http://www.ktvn.com/story/25646629/free-speech-screening-for-kids)! All of the clinicians at STG teamed up with two audiologists from the University of Nevada, Reno Speech & Hearing Clinic on Saturday May 31st. From 10-2, the office was buzzing as children between the ages of 3 and 6 received hearing, speech-language, and fine-motor/self-help/sensory skill screenings. Over 25 children participated. Families were provided short write-ups to summarize findings and resources (e.g., ChildFind through WCSD) were provided to families if needed. Check back next spring if you are interested in participating in the screening!
