Shawna received her Master of Science degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, with special emphasis on child language disorders, including Autism. Shawna’s research and clinical work focused on families from both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking backgrounds. In addition, she received the Outstanding Graduate Student award from the Medical School and was awarded the Herz Gold Medal as the top student in her graduating class (when visiting the UNR campus you can find her name engraved on a pillar in the honor court). Shawna is trained in the Lindamood-Bell Phoneme Sequencing Program (LiPS) to help children with reading/spelling skills. Additionally, she has participated in courses related to Social Thinking and the Incredible Flexible You program. In 2017, Shawna completed a year-long Leadership Development Program that was provided by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. In 2019, she was appointed by the Nevada Speech-Language-Hearing Association to be the NV representative for ASHA’s State Advocates for Reimbursement (STAR). This position consists of being a liaison between the state and the national organization on reimbursement issues and advocacy. In 2023, Shawna started serving as the Nevada SLP for the ASHA Committee of Ambassadors. In her position, she promotes the ASHA public policy agenda through advocacy activities. She enjoys the variety of winter/summer activities that the Reno/Lake Tahoe area has to offer (snow skiing/shoeing, water skiing, boating, SUPing) in addition to spending time with her husband and sons.

Liz is a Reno native who received her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno. She completed her externship at an elementary school with Washoe County School District where she was able to explore her love for working with children. Liz has experience evaluating and treating a variety of speech and language disorders within the pediatric population, and is passionate about working with children to promote functional communication on an individual basis. She believes that every situation offers a unique learning opportunity and a chance to provide children and their families with the tools they need to be successful. In her free time, Liz enjoys taking trips to Lake Tahoe, spending time outdoors, reading a good book, and traveling.

Morgan was born and raised in Reno, NV and earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno. She completed her externship in Early Intervention and Washoe County School District, where she further solidified her passion and joy for evaluating and treating a variety of speech and language disorders in children. Morgan is passionate about working alongside children and their families to help guide and empower them as they navigate the social, emotional, and behavioral aspects of the world around them. She believes in tailoring therapy to fit each child’s unique needs and abilities in order to achieve individualized, functional, and meaningful communication. In her free time, Morgan enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, being cozy at home with her husband and dog, and anything involving a body of water, nature, and a good book.

Shannon received both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees at the University of Nevada, Reno. As a graduate student, she completed her externships in Washoe County School District and at Sierra Therapy Group, throughout which she gained additional knowledge in evaluating and treating a variety of speech and language impairments while also increasing her enthusiasm for the field of Speech-Language Pathology. Shannon is passionate about working with children and their families to promote social, emotional and behavioral health and success. She loves animals and enjoys concerts, camping, and hiking.

Leticia obtained a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at the University of Nevada, Reno – Go Wolfpack! She graduated Summa Cum Laude, top 1% of her class, and then went on to get her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology where she received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award from the School of Medicine upon completion of her Masters as the top student in her graduating class. She completed her externships at a local outpatient therapy clinic and a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. There, she developed a passion for working with individuals with a variety of disorders and medical complexities. She is certified in both of the best and most recognized programs to treat people who have Parkinson’s Disease – The SPEAK OUT! Program and the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT). Additionally, she runs a LOUD Crowd! group to help her patients maintain the progress they have made in therapy and connect with other people in the area with Parkinson’s Disease. Leticia enjoys working with children as well as adults. She is Spanish-English bilingual and provides therapy services in both languages daily. Leticia prides herself on really caring about her patients, their families, and their well-being. She loves her job and has been told that this becomes evident in her therapy sessions. Leticia enjoys traveling and being outdoors. During the summer, she enjoys backpacking at National Parks with her husband and two dogs, Noodle and Knox.

Annelise received her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University (Fort Collins), and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Linfield College (McMinnville, OR). Prior to returning to school to study occupational therapy, she worked in the day treatment program at Children’s Behavioral Services (CBS) treating preschoolers with severe emotional and behavioral problems and as a Developmental Specialist at Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS). She has experience with the evaluation and treatment of children with autism, feeding issues, Down Syndrome, developmental delays, behavioral problems, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, fine and gross motor delays and cognitive disabilities. Annelise firmly believes that through a partnership between child, family and therapist, every child has the potential to succeed. Annelise enjoys spending time with her husband and their twin boys, reading, and being outside.

Barbie has 20 years of retail and management experience including marketing, administration, and inventory audit. She has also been a Sound Reading Solutions Literacy Volunteer for Communities in Schools. Her dedication and tremendous work ethic are a great asset to her billing clients and the STG team. She is energetic, caring, patient, and fun loving. Barbie has a sincere passion for children and a desire to make a positive difference in their lives. Barbie is married and the proud mother of two. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing softball, snow skiing, playing the piano, parent volunteer and baking for various fund raising events including The Children’s Miracle Network.
